Honey Apple Butter


  • Butter/margarine (I use Parkay)
  • 5 small apples
  • Brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Honey

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray oil a deep casserole dish. Spoon butter into bottom. Place cored or cut up apples on top of butter. Pack each apple with brown sugar, allowing sugar to fall around apples. Place a scoop of butter on top of each apple.

Bake for 1.5 hours or until the apples become mushy. Remove from oven and (if using cored apples) break up apples into smaller chunks. Allow to cool, then cover and refrigerate over night.

When ready, remove from fridge and then blend gelled mixture with a hand blender or use food processor. Blend until well mixed together. Add honey and then blend again till smooth. It can be ready to serve or place in containers that can be sealed to be used as needed.

Wonderful for dipping warm bread, as a fruit dip, or spread on your toast. Go crazy and use it however you want, IT’S THAT GOOD!
